As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I'm not pleased with how the school is treating my daughter who is a special needs student (she has an IEP) they don't communicate when I requested it, they belittle her and single her out.

I'm very appalled by the lack of professionalism that they have towards me as a parent. They don't have students safety in mind either. They protect the bully and punish the victim.

I don't recommend this school at all. Close Quote

Open Quote I graduated high school in 2003. I was terminally ill during the 4 years I attended Springfield High School. Even though I was to sick to attend classes the school "pushed" me through them through the use of a school sponsored tutor. The only problem was the tutor was not qualified to teach. Most often there would actually be no lessons. When I brought this up to the current administration at the time I was told "you're going to die soon anyway, don't you at least want the distinction of graduating?" I was pushed through for 4 years because medical professionals told school officials I was dying. I was not actually given an education except on paper it appeared that I have. Springfield administration is only out for themselves as far as I am concerned. They used to have a few good teachers but most of them are gone. The administration is to busy jockeying for the next best thing. That school is a mess. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
