As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school is going very downhill. First off, the teachers need to pay more attention to their students because many have no clue what it going on. They also need to set up specific days for tutoring, because it would make things so much easier. I hope you haven't stopped reading yet, this will be very long. Teachers can be very cruel, which make kids too scared to ask questions, especially with me, and that leads to you not knowing what to do, afraid of being yelled at by the teacher and looking like a fool in class. This makes me not want to associate with any of my teachers at all during tutoring as well. Maybe it is for the good though, if it prepares you for college of those nasty teachers. It might serve a favor someday. There are 3 lunches, lunch A, the 6th graders. Lunch B, combines with 7th and 8th graders, and same with Lunch C. I currently have lunch B. I absolutely hate this because it separates me from my friends. It closes up bonds with them. It makes you alone, and it doesn't do any good. The 8th graders wont even dare to talk to 7th graders.. So making new friends is very hard, it's very awkward too. Besides, I'd rather stick to my close friends than make new ones. The cashiers make it hard to understand what they're saying because they're probably all Hispanic, and I don't mean to be racist. The fruits are sometimes rotten, so much for trying to eat healthy when all the healthy food is rotten .. Most foods are high in calories and fats, and even though there are a variety of choices, still. I've found hair in my food too before, making me avoid having to eat at the cafeteria sometimes. Last of all.. Recess. It seems so silly, as we're in middle school, growing up. But kids are supposed to get an hour of exercise each day, and we have loads of homework making it impossible. Yes there is PE and athletics but what is 30 minutes going to do? And it's mostly waiting around for your turn to kick the ball. So much for that. Recess clears your head, it makes kid's focus and attention span dramatically increase, the focus many kids lack and is the reason many are failing. Many of my friends are failing, one girl got a 15 in math, yes its unbelievably true. All the dull work piles up and puts a lot of stress and can cause anxiety on you. Humans weren't meant to go just even a mere 2 hours of nonstop working, there must be breaks in between for recess. So imagine why the US is so downhill on education. Going 8 hours straight causes all this ruckus and failing and stress. Kids aren't supposed to live lives of stress filled worrying of grades and such. This is why I'm moving to Finland, it has an amazing education system ranked 5 of all countries, and they have 75 minutes of recess each day. They also have nearly no homework. Want to know the secret to their success? Recess. A stress free mind is able to focus, and focus is key. You'd understand.. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
