Treetops School International

Summary:

Treetops School International is a public charter school in Euless, Texas that serves grades K-12 and has a diverse student population. The school consistently outperforms the state average on STAAR assessments, maintains a high graduation rate, and prepares students well for college.

Treetops School International stands out for its strong academic performance, with proficiency rates that exceed the state averages across multiple grade levels and subject areas. For example, the school's reading proficiency rates range from 60.71% to 95.83%, compared to the state's 48.85% to 54.45%. In mathematics, Treetops' proficiency rates range from 45.83% to 80.77%, compared to the state's 31.89% to 48.96%. The school also excels in college readiness, with higher proficiency rates than the state on STAAR EOC exams in subjects like Algebra I, Biology, and U.S. History. Additionally, Treetops maintains a relatively low student-teacher ratio, which may contribute to its academic success.

When compared to nearby schools like Universal Academy - Coppell and Great Hearts Arlington, Treetops School International stands out. These schools have lower proficiency rates on STAAR assessments and STAAR EOC exams, as well as higher student-teacher ratios. Treetops' diverse student population and low percentage of free/reduced lunch recipients may also be factors in its academic success, which is worth further investigation.

As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I taught at Treetops for two years. I have since moved away from Texas and I miss the school and the administration a lot. I took for granted how much they care for their teachers and students.
I miss the smiles and love that the school has running through it.
It is not the school for every child, nor for that matter, every teacher. It is a place where you can feel acceptance and still learn at the same time. I think that is a pretty good combination. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
