As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Sadly, the principal cares more about Her ratings then she does the children's well being. Her way of getting higher ratings is to rid the school of the children who do not meet her mold. Her reasoning, "I cannot have this is MY school" Last I looked, this was a public school, paid for by our tax money, OUR school...Not Poly Prep. If not this school in our own community, for our children ... where do they go? Are they thrown out with the bath water? If your child needs a little extra help adjusting, this is not the school and/or principal for them. Principal Marsella, sees them as a liability, and a mark against Her. She is more concerned with her ratings, then she is about a child's adjustment, growth, and acceptance....Children should not be victimized for self promotion. Each child is an individual, not a text book case.
She has also made dismissal a chaotic horror show....it's more important to keep her new schoolyard an untouchable show place, parking in the other schoolyard for teachers, then it is for safe systematized dismissals.
The art of leadership are, communication, understanding, vision, charisma, versatility, and compassion ... not for ones Self, but for ones Students, Staff and Parents. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
