As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Great school overall! There are high and low performers. Kids flourish and there are different kinds of kids! Close Quote

Open Quote I attended this school from the 1st to the 5th grade and it was my absolute favorite school, and my best years of child hood. I have nothing but fond memories of my time here. All of the teachers were kind, caring and helpful. All of the classes we took were a learning experience and also fun. I LOVED this school and I made many great friends here. I am now 31 and would love to go back! Such a great school! Close Quote

Open Quote I completely agree with the other post listed here. Yes, kids are pushed and there is no thinking outside the box. Overcrowding leaves little room for kids who don't fit in the one size fits all format. The teachers are mixed bag. Some are outstanding, but others range from average to awful. We are happy to be moving on to middle school after our 5th grade experience. The teacher was unfit and lashed out and belittled the students who were not her favorites. She has been moved from grade to grade, but tenure has kept her there for too long. The parent body is great and the community strong. Close Quote

Open Quote It is a very traditional academic school that bulldozes children from the time they are in kindergarten so that they read and write pronto. The pressure is definitely on as part of the common core. The school has a mixed bag of teachers, which come from good training programs but that are obviously overwhelmed by the overcrowding. Some of them are relatively inexperienced. The movement teacher in the lower levels is not well liked and should really be replaced. Overall the high scores this school has is in a big part the reflection of the student body it serves, which consists of children that come from families holding higher expectations. The method through which they teach is rigorous but not always effective. PT is strong. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
