These factors likely contribute to the school's academic challenges and will need to be addressed to improve student outcomes.

As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This is a great school, my two kids love the teachers and the choice of academic and trade classes. The school is very tight nit. Both of my children and myself, were angry when the school was forced to stop giving an 'entrance exam' because someone's child failed. The test was basically a 5th grade level test! If a student entering 9th grade can't pass a 5th grade level test, the parents should have sued themselves for letting their child fail! My children feel that the ninth graders who entered this first year of non-tested students, are rude and lax in their pursuit of an education. Without the test to at least 'weed-out' the kids who didn't really want to be there in the first place, the school now has to accept any student who applies. I believe this will eventually drag the entire school down to the level of fighting and discontent my kids wanted to avoid in their 'home' school districts. It's a shame, I hope I'm wrong or that the Tech administration work to keep the school functioning at the higher level it's been and not allow it to sink to the lowest common denominator as the local school districts have done. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
