Open Quote While being a new school, staff and administration are not new to education so it is unnerving that there are so many issues. The communications are very vague both from administration and teachers. There are no books or papers sent home so parents do not know what is being taught if their child needs additional help at home. It seems devices are pretty much mandatory and are used as babysitters quite often in classrooms. Depending on the teacher, you may not get anything at all including tests or quizzes so you will find out only at report card time if your child is struggling then you're left to figure out how to get help on your own if you're lucky enough to have your child's teacher even respond. Safety is a major issue, there are so many areas of entrance and exit for this school and there's not enough staff to cover all. There's not enough staff for crosswalks either so with golf carts and cars around there are instances daily where someone almost gets hit. The school has done nothing to enforce parents driving in areas that are illegal and dangerous despite it being brought to their attention multiple times. As the statistics show, this is not a diverse school and has proven to not be inclusive. The school and PTO are unfortunately not open to others' ideas and attack parents who don't conform. It is what you would expect from a predominantly white school in the middle of an upper class neighborhood of entitled parents. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
