As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I've been at iTech since 6th grade, and will continue to stay at iTech until I graduate in 12th grade. I wouldn't want it any other way. This school is fantastic- the students, the staff, the teachers. Everybody aims to lift each other up and provide the best experience possible for the students. While mainly STEM-focused, iTech doesn't ignore other important aspects of education like the arts. The projects are all amazing, plus iTech has an awesome Robotics club program too! Every year here is more fun than the last, and whether now or in the future I will be proud to say that I am an iTech Raven. Close Quote

Open Quote I Tech Prep middle school has been an unbelievable experience for my son. He has had a very tough year as an incoming 8th grader and yet I've been impressed over and over by the administration and ESPECIALLY Rita Arden, the school counselor, for her watchful eye, listening ear and real love for the kids. They want the best for these kids and I believe that they do their best to make it a positive and rewarding experience no matter what your child might be going through. I'd like to applaud them on their continued support and the outstanding educators here. I would highly recommend this school if your child is interested in science and technology and can work in group settings as there are lots of team assignments. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
