The school consistently ranks among the top high schools in Utah, with a current statewide ranking of 20 out of 138 high schools and a 4-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Park City High's key strengths include its strong academic performance, with students consistently outperforming the state average in proficiency rates for the Utah Aspire Plus assessments in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Park City High School was rated the Number 1 high school in the state of Utah in 2011-2012. It was also named the Number 1 school for Advanced Placement test scores the same year by a huge margin. It has wonderful facilities, incredible faculty, a 1-to-1 student-computer ratio, and a wide variety of extracurricular clubs and sports. Close Quote

Open Quote Park City High School is one of the best Schools I have ever gone to. The school offers so many classes that will help you get where you want to go. If you are thinking about sending your kids here I would strongly recommend it. It has taught me so much! Close Quote

Open Quote PCSD was ranked 1 in the state and in the top 100 nationally when we moved here, now they are not in the top 1000. The administration is a totally disorganized mess with both academics and athletics, District wide they have that superiority arrogance of knowing they can never, and have never been wrong about anything, and they are more concerned with acting like lawyers than the students education. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
