As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My daughter attended MMS and played all girl sports. She loved it and never had a problem. In our family sports are appreciated and play a significant role in education. However, academics is our # 1 priority. Parents must support our teachers and coaches. My daughter went on to graduate from Lubbock High with a 3.9 GPA. Close Quote

Open Quote Teacher's and Coaches are supposed to encourage students to work and compete to there best capability's but the first week of school a teacher /coach tells my sister your acting like idiots, then my brother and other students in football at the school don't even get a chance to play coaches say you have to earn your spot totally agree with that but how are they when you play the same defense that was just on the field for the whole 1st qtr on offense for a 4 and out in the 2 qtr. I mean come on Mann give these kids a chance don't be stuck on the tallest fastest player's not all play maker's fit those categories even in the nfl be good at your job and encourage those all around not just the ones you think will benefit you coaching and teaching career.

Sincerly,

Open Quote I would like to ask, what are the rules and regulations for sports? Football is the one in question at the moment, as you may know how important it is to alot of children in this area. I was livid Monday night at our son's game. After waiting for what seems like an eternity to get the information we needed to be prepared for the game. We received our schedule Friday, before Monday nights game. I had no idea my son would not come home after school or if he would eat a snack before the game. As you can tell no information was related to the parents. The schedule is still not posted on the website! Not that my son is the best player, far from it but he has played YFL 6yrs. and loves to run the ball, kick field goals, and tackle. Out of 4 quarters he may have been called in for 3 plays! I'm talking less than 4 minutes play time! He walked up and down the sidelines raising his hand requesting to be let on the field to play, guess what the "Coach" had the nerve to reply with?!!! "The more you ask to play the longer it will be for you to get out there!" Break a kids spirit why don't you! Jezz, some kids will do with standing by waiting to be called on but others like my son will do what it takes to play, give the kid a chance! I am so disappointed in this coach! This is not an 11 man team! LISD mission/statement "Every child every day" not so if you play for Mckenzie!
Someone please help me with information on what I can do besides moving to another school with a better opportunity for "every child!" Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
