As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I'm starting to get really frustrated with this school faculty (Bussey Elementary) and the assistance principle. I don't know what to do and I feel like there harassing me over any little thing. I normally pick my 2 sons up from there bus stop and dropping them off in the mornings or they take the bus in the morning. But now my husband needs me to drive him to work and pick him up because his license is suspended. He gets off at different times usually at around 5 pm but for the last 4 months its been around 2-3:30pm.

I had switched to car rider then after 3rd time of me picking them up late. And I was only like 10-15 minutes late. I have to pick my husband up from work (in Jersey Village) then afterwards pick the boys up from school. I usually always make it just on time or if not earlier. After that 3rd time the Assistant principle pulled me a side and said all this stuff about that the teachers have things to do and that they can't be staying late because the parents are showing up late all the time. I told her I understand and that I think I'll switch the bus rider like that I will have more time. She also said that if this keeps happening that they will send a police officer to my apartment to see if I still live there. I was in shock and that's not even the worse.

After that everything was great! I was picking them up on time from school. Then again I didn't make it on time and only this time my husband went in to pick them up in the front office and this time they held my husband for like half an hour threatening that next time his late that there going to call CPS on us and say that, what we're doing is child abandonment. That was just a low blow now there trying to get personal. I don't think that was ever necessary to say something like that unless I was lets showing up 3 hours late but a few minutes to 15 minute is not child abandonment!!! So at the point I was enraged didn't know what else to do and how they think they can harassing and bully me like that is confusing in itself. I don't know my rights as a parent. I feel like the school faculty is against the parents.

I can't just take them out of the school and pick another school. So I switched to bus rider and I knows some days I'm not going to be able to get the kids on time off the bus. So I sometimes have to just go to the school directly and pick them up early. After a few times once again the AP pulled aside to talk to me about the next time I pick them up early that they will give me a ticket because its like no attendance. Can you believe that?? First they said there going to send a police to my apartment then threaten to call CPS on me and now there going to ticket me for pick them up early. I told the AP that I don't know what they want me to do. I told her if I don't pick them up early, the bus driver will drop them off and no one will be there to let them in my apartment.

Therefore a danger to my children safety but they don't care. Because the way they look at it, once the kids leave the school on the bus, the school is no longer responsible. They care more about them not getting sued and what is inconvenience to the teachers.

I don't know who I should talk to. Should I get a lawyer involved. I'm thinking of talking to some else that is in charge more higher up. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
