As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My son has attended this school since kindergarten. He is scheduled to go to the third grade. His first grade year, his teacher resigned, his class was behind on the basic fundamentals of reading, writing and math. The class was completed the year but was not provided the necessary teaching to get them to the 2nd grade. He completed his 2nd grade and did not know his basic math (adding and subtraction). This is after working with his teacher, receiving confirmation that he was on the right track, I noticed this summer he could barely read and do math. I spoke to other parents, it was obvious that the school focused more on the female students and do very little to develop the male students unless they were quick learners.

I observed my son's class and noticed a teacher teaching from a project, with the lights off. The students who were sitting closes to her were receiving her undivided attention. Students on other tables did not receive any attention, encouragement or connection to the lesson.

I also observed in the cafeteria a staff pushing a student, because the student did not move quickly in a line.

Parents have noticed that their sons are quickly labeled to a point that the parent will transfer their son so the school can continue to have its statistics. The school seems to be more interested in their statistics then investing in all of their students.

I spent 2 months teaching my son the 1st and 2nd grade basics. Education is a partnership with both the parent and the educator, this school leadership is definitely not leading her team to equally provide the best education to the students. The school is teacher focused and not student focused.

I recommend that parents, especially those of sons, pay close attention to the progress of their child's learning. The grades received may be deceptive. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
