Open Quote As a parent of 10 years with three children in the school, I can't rave enough about the Academy. Not only is it academically stellar, but it further offers a nurturing loving and safe environment for non-Armenian and Armenian families alike. The multilingual focus and cultural exposure provides an even greater advantage to its students. The wonderful school facility enables the children to maximize learning and growth in a comfortable, modern setting with all the latest technology and equipment; e.g., Smart Boards in each classroom, and fully equipped science and computer labs. Overall, the school has had 50 years of tremendous success in developing well educated, caring and responsible youth - all with an affordable tuition cost! Close Quote

Open Quote As an alumnus and current parent, the Armenian Sisters Academy is the only school we considered for our children's grade school education. Aside from strong academic credentials, geographic convenience, and very reasonable private school tuition, the Sisters offer a loving and nurturing environment within which the learning occurs. Moreover, the bonds formed by the students will result in lifelong friendships.

Do not dismiss the ASA because of the "Armenian" focus. While languages are important in a global society, the emphasis on things "Armenian" does not, in any way, take away from the core academic subjects.

Visit the school and tour, meet with the Sisters, talk to current parents, and then make an informed decision. Close Quote

Open Quote In the past few years this school has seen a 20% decrease in enrollment. Their approach to discipline and motivation is outdated and reflects a culture of harshness towards children. Parents should research and observe thoroughly before deciding to send their children there. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
