As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote We moved to Owen J. Roberts’s area because we heard good things about the school district.  Although this may be true, the North Coventry Elementary school, Grades K – 6 falls short of this.
Our daughter was consistently bullied since we moved here in 4th grade.  Any attempts that the school made to fix the situation at this point worked very little to dissuade the bully from stopping.   If we were lucky, this would last a week at best.  Our daughter used to love going to school and enjoyed learning and being around friends and now, she does not even want to go to school on a daily basis.  The Guidance counselor offers minimal guidance and the favorite answer was for our daughter to change her routine while the bully went unpunished.  This went on for a few years until we actually had to get the police involved because of the bullying escalating to threats.  It was only then that we found out that the North Coventry School district even had a principal.  The principal was quick to dismiss the situation, wanting to sweep it under the rug and did everything possible to let it drag out to the end of the sixth grade school year so it would not be the schools problem any longer.  Is this any way to run a school?  We question the integrity of the management staff at North Coventry and want to warn other parents of what to look forward to for the next several years as your child is supposed to be safe and in an environment where they can enjoy learning and being part of a class.  We were lucky that our daughter came to us and talked about the situation and what was going on at School.  We want to encourage other parents to talk to your children and make sure this is not happening to them.  For these reasons, I do not feel this is a good place for that to happen and if you are thinking about moving to the Owen J. Roberts area for the school stay far away from North Coventry.  We can only hope that this does not continue into the Middle school or we will have to take action and remove our daughter from the school district that is supposed to protect and encourage children to learn and become young adults.  So far, this has been a horrific experience and we are not looking forward to the 2017 – 2018 school year. Open Quote I am not displeased with North Coventry but rather the district as a whole. They announced a plan to redistrict, and they'll be kicking my sixth grader out. Do you remember how hard it was to make friends and fit in? How would you feel if you had to move to a different building for one whole year? The superintendent announced there would be no exceptions, how kind of him. So maybe I am displeased with North Coventry and all the schools for not fighting harder for the students affected by this plan. Any other parent I've talked to about problems with the school say no one ever listens, the principals don't care, and now I'm seeing that for myself with this redistricting plan. Close Quote

Open Quote I am extremely impressed by Dr. Lloyd and her talented team of teachers and support staff! Their commitment to high quality education for all children, in a child centered environment shows in all they do. With 100% of their full time staff members of the PTA, you see these teachers at every school function. We feel fortunate to have our children enrolled in this outstanding school! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
