As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote The middle school seems to be getting more chaotic. The high teacher-to-student ration may be because of fewer special ed classes. Not too many problems, but the inevitable issues seem to be swept under the rug rather than dealt with openly. Close Quote

Open Quote Great school with high standards and expectations. Involved parents and caring teachers. Needs to improve discipline in hallways and lunchroom. Close Quote

Open Quote I am a parent of kindergarten student. My child is in the 2nd year of early education classes that was initiated in the school. The administrators need to bring in an early education administrator or personnel. The current administration is overwhelmed by the sheer number of kindergarten students in the 2012 school year. The recent winter festival concert was awful. 75, 5 year olds cannot sit still for 70 minutes while waiting their turn to sing and then to be dismissed off the stage and be dumped onto the auditorium floor while the older chorus groups sing above them. The other musical talent from the middle school needed more practice. It was embarrassing to hear and think that this is what my child is suppose to aspire to. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
