As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Wright Elementary has major safety issues. My 6 year old son was allowed to leave a club inside the school and stand outside the school alone waiting for the bell to ring so he could enter the playground. When I approached the teacher, she acted as though she didn't know anything about the incident and tried to put blame on my son saying that he is "independent." She tried telling me that my son doesn't answer her and one day she pulled him back by his shoulder to talk to him and he teared up. So she let him go so he wouldn't cry. She never called me to inform me of this. I then took my issue to the principal and waited a month to meet with her. She told me she would get back to me after speaking with the teacher the following day. That was a month ago. I'm still waiting for that phone call.......

Also, just the other day a student was "missing" for over 2 hours. They were scowering the school looking for him. It turns out he decided to stay in the playground after lunch instead of returning to class.

That is just unacceptable. This school needs to be investigated. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
