Open Quote Generally a strong elementary but too much emphasis on test scores, even at this grade level. Also, you must advocate for yourself/child if your child does not fit into the cookie-cutter above-average, two-parent, affluent home. That said, there are very skilled teachers and other staffers (including reading) who are excellent for any child. The teachers are terrific communicators and overall it is a positive place for children. Close Quote

Open Quote Great school curriculum but DO NOT allow your child to go there if you are a single parent. Especially if you are 30 or under. Never would I have expected to be treated with such disgrace and feel like my son and I are a nuisance. This was his kindergarten year and my first year after divorce. Even after moving out of district, I continued to allow my son to attend, I didn't want to interrupt his studies. After being kicked out of the MAC program for late payments, I started working overnights so I could drop off and pick him up. Catching sleep while he was in school. From the women in the kissing lane, the MAC program leader and especially Katie in the office with her sarcastic remarks the few times I've spoken to her in regards to running late. All very rude, judgemental and very inconsiderate. What happened to respect and common courtesy? Not only that but my son was constantly reminded of being from a "broken" home through the majority of the projects that were chosen, we eventually didn't participate in those. I'm glad this school year is over and I wish I had better things to say. School curriculum is great, my son excels in reading but Wildwood could use better and more helpful staff members. I'm not going to be the last young single mother and I pray she won't have to endure the evil stare downs, rude comments and everything else I did the last 9 months. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
