As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I substitute taught here twice. Both times, I endured both verbal abuse from students and written abuse. Ex. While I was redirecting a student, another student wrote on the board in marker next to my name, "ugly fat ass" and scribbled in marker all over the lesson plan directions I wrote on the board. When I called the secretary for behavior support, she sent up a behavior specialist who asked the class to write down the name of the student on a piece of anonymous paper who wrote the negative comments about me. While he waited, I went down to the main office to show the principal what the student wrote about me and asked him to visit the classroom. He escorted me to the classroom. His only words to the class were to ask them to consider if they had done this to a classmate's parent. Then, it turns out it was a girl who wrote the negative comments about me on the board, but neither the behavior specialist or the principal acknowledged this to me, or required the student to apologize to me, which I found very inappropriate. Then, after the behavior specialist left, the class was required to read silently on their Chromebooks. I caught one of the 6th grade students surfing the internet and asked him to leave the classroom and go to the behavior specialist's room. He called me "fat ass" and slammed the door as he left. I will never substitute teach at this school again. It is a terrible school. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
