Open Quote My child was injured at this school due to negligence of the staff and to my knowledge , they never informed the other kids parents who were also injured . District 300 went as far as tampering with video footage after showing me so it looked like less happened in the beginning of the incident and more . They also wouldn’t show me the video footage when I asked to see the entire 3 hour day because my child had several other injuries that were visible not including the 3 blows to the head from another student throwing him off the playground they were never supposed to even be on that day . Also , there were incidents in a different classroom that happened prior to this that was negligent as well and all they did was change teachers . My child is now autism level 3 after the last incidents where he was physically injured . He had no diagnosis or signs of autism until after the concussion . Several months later they agreed that there was more that happened today and basically said oops their bad for not getting it on record after I kept saying since day 1 that all of his injuries I took photos of didnt happen in that one incident and I had proof . They even tried to tell me that he had no injuries , refused to take photos of them and said it wasn’t necessary and made me wait 2 weeks to watch the video footage . The footage I requested thru FOIA was a different version and said it wasn’t but I have proof that it was . My child is now out of school because of them . They refused to give my child an aide and I told them my child NEEDED one several months leading up until the day of the injury . There’s a lot more I could say too but I won’t . Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
