Open Quote Very unhappy with this school. Principal is not actively involved and it appears that the vice principal runs the show. She is very friendly, but does not take care of student matters seriously. Everything is told to hug it out and it will be okay. Sugar coat every thing. No discipline when there is a problem. Communication is also a problem at this school. Never know of things until last minute. Nothing comes home. One email a week that is too long to read. Like garbage spam mail. Very unhappy with this school and will be reassigning next year because administration is the worst i have encountered with all my children. Most teachers are very nice and friendly. Some not personable, but good at the things they teach. Homework is very excessive. Lots of reading and test to take. Soemtimes homework is 3 hours. Too much!! Kids need to have time to be kids and to play too. Overall I would not send my kid here again unless I had no other options. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
