As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Tracey has been a fantastic school for my two children in second grade and kindergarten. The staff is fantastic and the teachers are caring and nurturing. My Kindergartener has really made a lot of progress this year. I am very pleased with the school. Close Quote

Open Quote I agree with the last reviewer that the PTO is the heart of Tracey School. I was surprised to see how low Tracey's rankings were, but certainly ESL is a challenge for many families. I have a child who needs some Special Ed services and Tracey School staff have been attentive and efficient in getting services in place quickly. This is a warm, community environment that deserves a higherranking than its getting. Close Quote

Open Quote Tracey school has a bad reputation based on it's test scores which are low due to a very high English as a second language population.

The Kindergarten teachers have been warm and welcoming and my child is performing well ahead where he needs to be for 1st grade next Fall. This school has a great sense of community and offers many cultural enrichment programs that you would not be exposed to at some other homogenous schools that offer no diversity among it's student population.

The PTO is fantastic and very involved. These women are the heart and soul of the school working tirelessly to make it a better place.

Schools should not be based on test scores alone. It is the environment that your child will be surrounded by that makes all the difference in developing their character. Do not count Tracey out! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
