Open Quote All three of my children attend Odyssey. I could not be happier! My kids are all very different in their personalities and learning styles, but because the curriculum is made accessible in many ways, they are all thriving...academically, as well as socially, emotionally and physically. My kids social needs are nurtured, they have learned to be problem solves on many fields, and they absolutely love school. It is rigorous. More than some schools. However, the rigor is supported by loving and caring staff, and the kids are invested because the rigor actually relates to something they are doing that is real; example...they are making pamphlets for a nature center, starting a community project. So..the quality of their work, and their investment matters. I make quite a drive to take my kids to school, and every time I think "Can I keep this up," the answer comes to me when I pick up my kids and they spend the next hour telling me about the wonderfulness that happened that day. Odyssey is a model to other schools around the nation, and year round you see other educators coming to witness the magic, putting a piece in their pocket to take back to their own learning environments. Thank you Odyssey for being what you are. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
