As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school is quite remarkable. From the principal (who knows all of the kids) to the staff, the core values of kindness, respect and hard work are demonstrated consistently. There are so many extra programs available to the kids and a very strong parent community. I feel blessed to have had 3 kids attend all 6 years (K-5) at this school! Close Quote

Open Quote The school is very progressive - always willing to try new things to benefit the children. There is very strong parent involvement in the school. The school does an amazing job at reinforcing its values of kindness, respect, and hard work. Each student is treated as an individual with individual strengths and weaknesses and education is adapted as much as possible to play to the strengths and improve the weaknesses so that they are no longer weaknesses. Outstanding school (for students and parents). Close Quote

Open Quote This school is absolutely amazing in all that it does not only for students and teachers but also for parents. Our PTA is fantastic with very high turnout at meetings. Parental involvement is exceptional. Parents are constantly volunteering their time to help the school whenever help is needed whether it's setting up special functions for the kids like their Fall Festival or their Reflections program where children can use creative skills they may not otherwise be able to use in the school like photography, dance, painting, etc. They have a yearbook that can be purchased yearly for those special memories. Since this school is newly built, parents have the option of ordering a specialized printed brick for around the school's American flag outside. Prints can include family name or a lost loved one for a couple examples. Kindergarten parents are treated to a Tissue Tea on that very difficult first day. Coffee, treats and socialization with other parents are a few of the highlights. The school library also features a bird cage for the children's pleasure as well as an authentic Nash vehicle donated to the school, missing the engine of course for safety purposes. Can't say enough about the teachers. They each have a love for their children in their classrooms and will bend over backwards to make school fun and exciting for each and every student including those with disabilities. I am just always amazed at the smiling faces on the students just walking through the halls. These are just a very small sampling of what this school offers. I could honestly write a book but it would certainly have to begin with Mr. Pitts the school principal. With students of his own, he knows how important quality of education is and his positive helpful attitude towards all students and parents certainly should earn him an award. Every opinion matters to him and he really does listen and care. He is truly the leader of the "Nash Family" which is one of the motto's this school goes by along with "Kindness, Respect and Hard Work". We are considering relocation to another state in the next few years and we are finding it very difficult to even think of leaving this school. I really do feel we would be hard pressed to find another school that could compare. Nash has a very strong hold on us which could inevitably keep us here. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
