Butternut School District

The Butternut School District consists of two schools: Butternut Elementary and Butternut High. While Butternut Elementary has maintained a consistent 4-star rating from SchoolDigger, Butternut High has seen a remarkable improvement, rising from a 0-star rating to a 4-star rating in the current school year, a notable achievement for the district.

Academically, Butternut Elementary students outperform the state average in most subject areas, particularly in 3rd and 4th-grade math and 4th-grade science and social studies. In contrast, Butternut High has shown mixed results, with some grades and subjects performing above the state average and others performing below. Both schools, however, face challenges with high chronic absenteeism rates, which may impact student learning and academic performance.
