Open Quote As a parent I was impressed superficially by the school setting. Now I am really sad after paying enrollment fees and becoming locked in only to discover how unstable the school is. Now my child has friends and a routine but the staff come and go too quickly. My child hasn't learned anything other than how to stand in line and watch other children work. The classes seem disjointed and there is no clear pathway of what is going on. It feels wrong to pay so much for my child to have social contact with no feedback about what or why anything is happening. The only things my child has been praised for is the developmental things that happen anyway. I really felt excluded as a parent and looked down on by other elitist parents. The children don't seem to be allowed to work together on anything in class and the only time my child could freely interact was at recess. Even then they have to line up and say, "Checking-in" before they are allowed to play. If the are too shy they are put on the spot and made to feel stupid. By the time the children are all allowed through they only have 20 minutes to interact freely. The teachers are nice and kind but what I thought was a community is more a business and a soft institution. I really wasn't included and the teachers I trusted have gone. The most experienced and qualified Montessori teacher was recently replaced with the receptionist. The school appears to always be in survival mode. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
