As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I have three students at ILHS (a Senior and two Freshman) and my kids have always been part of the public school system.

I can say, without reservation, that ILHS has provided the most supportive, and learning conducive environment I've encountered within public education.

The teachers and staff show an unwavering level of care for the students. My kids have gained confidence in their abilities and feel supported.

Teachers manage to set strong expectations, while allowing students flexibility to explore. The Mastery Learning Model encourages students to truly understand the curriculum, rather than cramming info just long enough to pass a test, then forget.

On a social level, I've noticed that there is a large neurodiverse student population, along with a sizeable LGBTQIA student body. These are both groups who know what it's like to go through school dealing with bullies and harassment. As a result, you don't see much bullying here. These kids are hyper aware of that sort of thing and shut it down quickly. While there are certainly still groups and cliques, they still manage to be a cohesive group when it comes to social support, watching out for problematic behavior from their peers, and make sure people feel welcome. Open Quote TBH pretty mid. It's better than a lot of other schools there are in this district. (IE North Creek & Woodenville aka Pedos and Drugs) but yk, classic high school things over there.
ILHS trys to be innovative, but fails at most aspects of that. Teachers are SUUUPEER nice though i like the teachers alot. also the learning structure is a E P N U grading system, so no A-F stuff.
No sports are avalible at this school, which im fine with. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
