Open Quote VBCS started out as a great school for my child until middle school. I couldn’t ask for better elementary teachers. Once my child started the middle school portion, things changed drastically. My child started identifying as gay. I’m not sure if it’s a phase or if my child will be gay as an adult. My point is, I do not really care because I love and support my child no matter what. I also believe that God loves all, no matter what they identify as. My child identifying as gay became a big problem as they no longer fit in the perfect mold that school environment was trying to force on my child. My child has become suicidal from being called horrible names and bullied by others. My child also told me that teachers would not use names but have classroom discussions about how being “gay” is not following God’s way of life. Growing up in today’s society is hard enough, I cannot imagine the way my child is being treated is at all acceptable in God’s eyes. Close Quote

Open Quote Our children have attended a Christian school since kindergarten. When we transferred to the Virginia area, we searched and interviewed many Christian schools hoping to find the right school that would offer not only top-notch academics and extra curricular activities, but also be embedded with strong spiritual application teachings. We decided to send our children to Valley Baptist School in Edinburg. We drive 35 miles one way from a much larger city that has several Christian schools, for many reasons. The teachers exceptionally dedicated to each and every child who attends their school. Valley Baptist School has set very high standards in achieving excellence which is evident in their core curriculums offered, their music and drama programs and in their state and national competition awards they earn each and every year! This school offers after care and transportation from many areas outside of the Edinburg area which is a convenience to many students. The overall family-like atmosphere fostered in this school is like no other school experience our children have ever had. Interview the school and see for yourself, why Valley Baptist School is second to none for so many reasons! Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
