As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Awful experience with the teachers. They were not willing to help after I got back from being sick. I was told to go to schoolfusion and look at the notes. I did, AND THEY WEREN'T THERE. The only teachers who really knew what they were doing were two of the history teachers, everyone else acted like they were only there because they had to get a job somewhere. The math teachers just expect you to know the stuff they are supposed to be teaching you. Science teachers only teach the bare minimum you need to pass the SOL. The French teacher is horrid, expects you to study for a quiz he didn't even tell you about. He only puts the quizzes in the grade book, and if you miss one accent, the whole question is marked wrong. His quizzes are usually only 8 questions, and he didn't teach the stuff in class. English teachers make you read the book, but they don't focus on the overall literature, but on the literary devices. Music program is okay, and the PE teachers are pointless. The things they grade you on make no sense. I was even injured (sprained ankle) but since I wasn't on crutches I was forced to participate, while the volleyball players sat in the bleachers because they had a game that day. The administration is terrible, and guidance is a joke. The school only pays attention to the football team (who are terrible) and the cheer team. This year they spent over two thousand dollars on a blow up football helmet with a smoke machine that the football players come out of at the beginning of a game. They could of used those for the sports teams that get little money (some get NO money). The school spirit is great, but if you don't participate in a pep-rally, don't dress up for a spirit day, don't donate or buy things for fundraisers, and don't go to the football games, you are shamed. People say that the cambridge program is great, but compared to IB and/or AP it's a joke. The only difference between a cambridge class and a normal class is more homework. I would highly recommend this school for people that are not planning on going to college, or if you want to get into drugs, because the amount of drugs at this school is INSANE. Close Quote

Open Quote I graduated this school in 2005. To its credit this school was supposedly ranked 11th in the state at the time. Definately a safe school for your kids, fairly nerdy student body.

Not the most connected feeder school though for good colleges so definately be prepared to take your own responsibility for your kid's college planning and test prep. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
