As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote We have had an incredible experience at Campbell. We transferred from a larger neighborhood school, where our child was just a number, to Campbell. We are incredibly grateful. The community is beautiful. Parents are friendly, teachers challenge every child to excellence, and our child is known and cared for well. The smaller community is so beneficial. We also value the administration. The principal hires excellent teachers and makes wise decisions that promote safety and encourage teacher creativity. The PTA is very dedicated and supports a garden docent position for the school. Best of all, my child loves going to school and loves to learn. We couldn't be happier. Close Quote

Open Quote Excellent teachers at the younger levels (Pre-K - 3). Amazing talent there. Used to be a great school focusing on expeditionary learning. Felt like it was a community as much as a school. Community feel of school disappeared with new administrator. Now it's just a standard school with a paternalistic administrator who has little tolerance for parents or interpersonal relationships. No holidays are allowed to be celebrated at Campbell Elementary, not even for the smallest children. Also, the 9:1 ratio noted for 2014 is wrong. There are a lot of full time teachers that do not have a dedicated class (Spanish teachers, musics teachers, SPED teachers). In reality, there are about 18-21 kids per class. (Still good, but not 9.9 good.) With the exception of a some very talented and wonderful teachers, I would not recommend this choice school. Close Quote

Open Quote Campbell is a a wonderful community. Small classes, dedicated and excellent teachers with looping, and a focus on all children excelling. Expeditionary Learning has been awesome for my child--it's so encouraging to see children love the process of investigation and be excited to learn. We are so grateful to be at this school. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
