As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote AIMS is awesome. The teachers and administrators are ambitious and dedicated to building global citizens. The parent community is resourceful and engaged. Everyone has the feeling that the school is in the early days of building a place that produces kids who speak multiple languages and are comfortable in any environment.

My son is in his third year at AIMS and I’m blown away by his language skills and global perspective. Close Quote

Open Quote Excellent teachers and educational environment. Small school with great access to the principal. Most teachers have extensive experience and have multiple degrees in addition to being billigual. Close Quote

Open Quote No one, from the teachers to the principal, returns emails or answer questions. There is no homework, which may sound great, but this policy means parents can't follow what their kids are learning at home. There are also no books or curriculum the teacher comes in early to make up the lesson for that day. No GT support. Front desk personnel, the older lady not the younger one, is beyond rude and unhelpful. Our child has had stuff taken from his backpack. At the end of the day, teachers take anything kids left in class, jackets, coats, or whatever, and turn it in to lost and found, instead of reminding kids to take their jackets with them or waiting until the next day for kids to get their stuff. Teachers have no curriculum posted on the school website and Living Tree isn't used to communicate what's being learned in class it's used to ask for volunteers to work in the library, at recess, on the art car project, to cook for teachers (every month), help teachers in class, help do cutting, laminating, bulletin boards, and the constant begging for money -- buy books and rugs for the library, buy supplies for the teachers, buy appreciation gifts for the teachers and the principal, donate money for this and that. Yet they can't be bothered to tell us what our kids are learning in class. So over this place! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
