Summary:

Pioneer Technology (Ptaa) Fate is a public charter high school serving grades 5-12 in Fate, Texas, part of the Rockwall Independent School District (Isd), which is ranked 296 out of 968 districts in the state.

This high-performing school consistently ranks in the top 20% of Texas high schools, with strong academic achievement, particularly in reading, English, Biology, and U.S. History. Pioneer Technology (Ptaa) Fate outperforms many nearby traditional public high schools, such as Rockwall-Heath High School and Wylie East High School, which also have impressive academic records. The school's low dropout rates and higher spending per student compared to the state average contribute to its success.

However, Pioneer Technology (Ptaa) Fate has seen some variability in its student demographics, with the percentage of White students decreasing and the percentage of Hispanic students increasing in recent years. This shift, along with fluctuations in the school's socioeconomic composition, may have impacted the performance of certain student subgroups. As the school continues to evolve, it will be important for it to closely monitor its strategies and practices to maintain its competitive edge among the strong nearby schools in the region.

As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Communication regarding children and school issues are not responded to in a timely matter. If at all. I’ve had to have the police intervene once and now cannot get a response regarding pornography being distributed at school. The administration in the Fate Campus is almost non existent. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Principal Causey is worthless. I’ve attempted to reach her numerous times and until you walk in the school to bring things to their attention she will not respond. The woman at the front desk will call security quickly, my impression is they are scared and don’t want to deal with anyone if there is any problem going on. Fate Police respond regularly to deal with school issues due to the Campus being a a charter school. The teachers are truly what make the school. However the turnover is high. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
