As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote its bad enough that my kid knew who each of their teachers was voting for in the election because those teachers are paid for math, english, history, science.... not being paid to teach my kid their own personal political opinions. But when they allow their teachers to share with my minor their sexual preferences and sexual orientation is beyond a violation and not acceptable. There should not be a teacher who feels like its their right to talk to talk to my child about their sexual preferences and I have no clue as to how that could ever tie into any of the subjects my on my childs schedule.... and we'll be homeschooling. It was bad enough being 121st school district in tennessee out of 140 districts, and 539th out of 574 middle schools in tennessee but brainwashing my kid with your own personal and private agendy is not what our tax dollars are supposed to be spent on and your opinion isnt actually made for the classroom, the factual subject you were hired to teach is how those funds were meant to be utilized. Open Quote This past 5th grade year was very disappointing. The lack of participation from students and parents is clearly wearing on the teachers. My daughter stopped having homework at the beginning of the second semester. She stated that teachers said they stopped handing it out because no one would do it and the kids didn't care. At this grade level, shouldn't homework or some sort exist, especially with the students being at such low performing levels? It seemed that learning was not occurring, it was more about memorizing test answers to get passing scores. Close Quote

Open Quote This school is having a large problem with bullies. I have been to the school 3 times this year myself to address the issues with school officials. I personally know of many other parents that are in the same boat as I. My son hates going to this school. A few of the problem kids have been addressed, but not all. My son is told by his teachers to just ignore them. What kind of message is being sent by these teachers? It's a shame that we have to send our children to place where they should be able to have fun and learn, but can't due to the proverbial blind eye being turned. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
