As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote The school is an outstanding school with exceptional teachers till you get to the 6th grade. I really believe it would benefit the children today as well as children in the future to have a middle school. The same 4 teachers teach 6th and 7th. I feel they have two teachers that seriously harm our children's ability to grow and learn - (both of which should be retired.) You can go back and search public records of the "A" and "A-B" honor roll and see in 5th grade you have an average of 25 every year for the last ten years, but search 6th grade and out of those same 25 students you may get 9. The schools only answer is that 6th grade is tough. Bu******! I say! The children of our community don't lose their intelligence over the summer from one grade 5th to 6th. You have one teacher and I quote " I like you this year cause you're not 6 graders anymore. I don't like 6th graders." Wow! That sure motivates me to want to learn from you in 7th grade! I urge all parents with children in Diamond Hill 6th and 7th grades to take a good look at your daughter/son and ask yourself does my child have a problem with learning, is 6th grade just tough? OR JUST MAYBE IS IT WHO AND HOW IT'S BEING TAUGHT???? Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
