Open Quote We have three children at St. Paul school and this is our 7th year there. We are very pleased with our children's experience academically and socially. The school has a warm and friendly atmosphere along with the obvious display of Catholic values.
We wanted our kids to be able to celebrate the holidays in school, to be able to say "Merry Christmas" without getting in trouble!
While no school is perfect, St. Paul has increased the quality of education over the past five years by adding foreign language, and advanced classes to all grades. I was concerned about the class size at first, to go from 10 or 12 kids in a preschool class to 30, but each classroom has an aid and coupled with the discipline and manners instilled by staff, it is not a problem.

I love the fact the kids can play competitive sports beginning in 3rd grade as well. This allows children and parents to get to know each other early on rather than playing rec sports with strangers, you get to play for your school with your friends!

The school does expect a lot of volunteering from parents whether it be on projects or in the classrooms, but it's not required. And there are probably a few teachers that need to retire due to age:-) But you can find that anywhere. The fact the kids wear uniforms is awesome for many reasons. There is a huge sense of community.

We are happy we chose St. Paul over our public school option! Close Quote

Open Quote School is outstanding. Top rate education for kids. Our child is currently in 3rd grade and his progression has been tremendous since Kindergarten. We couldnt be happier. I have heard that some of the team sports are not managed very well by parent/coaches and there is a lot of dissention, especially on the football teams. I dont get the impression the Parish Athletic League does a very good job keeping coaches in check regarding playing time so parents and coaches clash. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
