Open Quote The staff don't really make an effort to get to know the kids and many of them are just kind of ignored, so any individual's experience depends almost entirely on the group of kids that is there at any given moment, and there is a very high turnover rate. Many of the kids have serious issues whether emotional or developmental or both, and they are all there together in a mixed age open environment, so there is a lot of conflict between the kids and some of these are quite serious, not just everyday bullying. The "restorative justice" system is a mess, and doesn't help anything. There is some attention placed on acting/drama by a staff member, so kids who like that will have something to do, but many of the kids are just playing video games for hours each day and fighting with each other. What are they learning from the older kids besides how to be a bigger jerk? When you see positive reviews, keep in mind that most are from staff and their family members. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
