Open Quote I absolutly love Saint mark's Day School and what they are doing for our twins both educationally and socially. the small teacher:student ratio is great, giving additional attention to the students. the after school karate program is amazing Close Quote

Open Quote This school is the ultimate let down...I enrolled my son in ktgn in 2010 at the age of 4 years old and he excelled and is still excelling, however, now that he is in 1st grade he has been scratched by a classmate, received a hate letter (from the same classmate), punched in the stomach (by the same classmate) after leaving Mass, placed in a Title 1 class although his C.A.T test scores were 99% Language Arts & 60% Math (40% would be considered low score)..all without the teacher "being aware" of these occurrences. How are you a teacher in a class of 19 kids and arent aware when kids aren't in your class? Likely story...When all this was brought to the attention of the Principal his response was "your son should not be in a Title 1 class, sorry we dropped the ball". And the "bullying issue" with the female classmate was also brushed under the rug. My husband and I requested a meeting with the girl's parent/parents and we were able to set up an appointment only to be told on the day of the appointment that the appointment was rescheduled for a time that was good for the girl's parent. Needless to say we never had the discussion with the parent because for some reason the school was protecting the bully and her parent and not our child. At this point I am currently looking for another school for my child... Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
