As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote We recently moved to the area this past summer and was initially very excited with the top rating the school claims on its website as well as the look and feel of the school.

After a few months of our children being in this school (2nd and 5th grade) we are extremely disappointed. Having to move from Connecticut to Las Vegas for my husbands work was less than ideal. We thought we made a good choice in moving to what seemed a nice area, away from the strip, with good schools was all a mirage.

My kids are coming home not happy, the teachers seem to have very little experience and are pushed to make sure the kids are learning curriculum to ensure they can continue to advertise the so called "high test scores". The parents all seem like they aspire to be on Housewives of Beverly hills. Everything about this school is fake and be sure to not judge a book by its beautiful cover. Its whats inside that counts. If you want to have your kids in a school where the teachers care about learning, the parents care about their kids more than their own image, this is NOT the school for you. We are currently exploring private schools or possibly moving to Summerlin after getting to know more about the layout of this city. I CAN't wait to get out of this school!
Its amazing that no matter how highly rated a school may seem in this state, the lowest education ranking is certainly deserved from 1-5 star schools. Close Quote

Open Quote My son who was diagnosed with autism has excelled at this school. He went from having little language to an exploding vocabulary. My sns teachers have all been great and his resource teachers are wonderful. Any issues I have ever had have been addressed. They encourage parent volunteers and have fun functions throughout the year. There are reward programs in place to encourage good behavior. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
