Open Quote This is our daughter's second year in The New School. The reality of how the school operates - exceptional education in a wonderful, nurturing environment - far surpassed our expectations. Thank you! Close Quote

Open Quote The New School of Monmouth County is just the BEST BEST BEST school we could imagine for our children.

We have 2 children there currently, and it is such a nurturing, creative and practical approach to education that we can't wait for our youngest to start!

The education that students at the New School get is so unique in how it blends everyday life and activities with reading, writing, math, science, etc.. And in a time where so many parents are understandably worried about bullying, peer pressure and the like, the New School provides a refuge where basically speaking, none of that exists.

And, in fact, a class lesson or project will be stopped right on the spot when a behavior or action comes to light that is not right. The teachers, staff and parent volunteers will work for as long as it takes (for real, like an hour if needed - a far cry from the punishment based, quick resolution system in most schools) to educate the students and help them LEARN how to work through conflict. If only every school did that we'd have such a nice peaceful world....

Bottom line - send your kids to the New School of Monmouth County - you won't regret it! Close Quote

Open Quote Exceptional place to learn and grow. Each child is understood as their own person and allowed to learn accordingly. Family atmosphere where parents, staff and children work together in a non-competitive atmosphere. Parents have full access to teachers and are expected to play an important role in their child's education. In a perfect world, the New School of Monmouth County would be the norm instead of the exception. Close Quote

Open Quote Imagine a place where creativity and imagination are not a nuisance, instead they are cherished. Imagine a school where children are taught to think for themselves, use good judgment, respect people of all ages, and work with others to solve complex problems. Sounds too good to be true? That is the reality at The New School of Monmouth County. The goal here is to instill students with an enormous love for learning! How many eighth graders do you know who are excited about going to school and learning? ALL of the eighth graders here are exactly that - in love with learning and going to school. The teachers and staff are the most patient, nurturing, encouraging and respectful people anywhere. The kids learn those qualities also. I am so thankful we found this school for my daughter. Open Quote We are so happy with our decision to start at the New School. It is so rewarding to have a child that is happy everyday to get up and go to school. At night we love to hear with passion how she talks about her days. Everything is done with hands on projects. The school is so full of warmth and a sense of community. There is never a boring day! The school is anxiety free for both child and parent. Close Quote

Open Quote There is no place quite like the New School! My children, New School students since kindergarten, have learned in a manner and in an environment that I only wish I could have experienced as a child. With emphasis on cooperation and fun, the kids at the New School learn academics without the stress, and they learn to love the process of learning as well. My now high school age child has grown into a High Honors Student by any standards, and yet he still pays little attention to the "scores" aspect of his education because he's truly in it for the pure joy of learning. What more can any parent hope for? Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
