Open Quote This site does not have current information on this school as of May, 2010.

The school currently has 170 students enrolled. Class size varies widely. Although the first grades currently have 14 students in each class, next year they will be combined so that the second grade will have 28 students. The incoming first grade is presently at 22 students, although this number could increase if children enroll over the summer. The present second grade has 27 students. A second class is considered if the enrollment for that grade is 30 students or more. No aids have been provided in the past for larger classes.

Leadership has not been consistent over the past two years, which is generally of concern to parents. The principal hired two years ago had to leave in December due to health concerns. Two interrim principals filled the position until May, when a new principal was hired. Parents are hoping that strong leadership will be provided, and bring innovation in technology and teaching strategies to the school. Parents have a keen interest in the school and are looking for positive change. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
