Kirk Day School

Was a great school. As referenced elsewhere in reviews on other sites, leadership has significantly deteriorated in recent years. As a result, faculty is a revolving door (guessing staff is miserable for the same reasons many parents are beginning to observe). Favor seems to be given to more affluent families (beware if in a shared custody situation as they WILL override a court ordered legal custody arrangement in a heartbeat to favor an affluent parent a judge has given less legal custody to- many parents report this). I absolutely no longer consider this a ‘Christian’ school by any means whereas once upon a time that was what I valued about this school and why it was chosen for my child. If image and playing ‘politics’ with the staff to get your child ahead are your thing, don’t let this review hold you back. If you are in search of a place that espouses Christian values, I wouldn’t even mess with this place.

Additionally Associate Dean seems to rule the roost there nowadays and even orders the Dean around. She is a tyrant and unqualified for her role or any role involving children. She picks favorites and gossips via email to children’s teachers about her personal opinions of parents in order to marginalize parents she does not favor. This wrecks havoc on a child and also the families involved, particularly if already facing tense circumstances due to shared custody.

Read the reviews- most of the glowing ones were written 6-7 years ago. More recently there are LOADS of similar complaints. This isn’t by accident.
