Clearwater R-I

The Clearwater R-I school district in Missouri consists of three schools: Clearwater Elementary, Clearwater Middle, and Clearwater High. While the district has some high-performing areas, such as Clearwater Middle's exceptional Algebra I scores, there are also concerns around declining performance at Clearwater Elementary and generally lower-than-average test scores across the district.

Clearwater Elementary has seen a significant drop in its statewide ranking, from 270th out of 908 schools in 2021-2022 to 563rd out of 906 schools in 2023-2024. In contrast, Clearwater Middle stands out for its exceptional performance in Algebra I, with 94.6% of students proficient or better, significantly higher than the state average.

While Clearwater High maintains a high 4-year graduation rate of 94.9%, its test scores in Algebra I and Biology I are below the state averages. Across the district, student test scores in Mathematics and English Language Arts are generally below the state averages, with the exception of Algebra I at Clearwater Middle. Addressing the high chronic absenteeism rates and improving academic outcomes may be key focus areas for the Clearwater R-I school district moving forward.
