Open Quote I loved my time at the Academy. The teachers care passionately about their students and take extra time to work with them before and after class. Close Quote

Open Quote I was a student at Berwick Academy my freshman year of high school. Even moving from a private middle school, it was a horrible transaction. The students in my grade were stuck up, selfish, and very rude. It made it very hard to fit in, considering they all grew up together in the middle school. My grades suffered, as the teachers played favorites. All they want is your money, if you can pay the tuition then you're in. I dreaded school every day. I am now a senior at a public school and could not be happier about it. My only regret is going to Berwick Academy, as my GPA would be much higher. If you are looking for whats best for your child, I advise not sending them here. Close Quote

Open Quote The school offers a wide range of arts, music, academics, social skills, respect, etc... that many schools do not have the staff or funding to maintain. It is small and manageable. They offer science and language at the lower school level and small amounts of homework and in school tasks teach the children to study and learn. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
