Open Quote Faith, values, education...Saint Stephens is thriving! They opened a new Pre-K building for 3 and 4 year olds that opened in the fall of 2014. They have also added air-conditioning throughout the school in the summer of 2015. Wifi is available throughout the campus and more Chromebooks are being added for the students thanks to a $10,000 award from BG&E.

The school is an island of sanity in an insane world. This is the America you grew up in- Church on Sunday, family picnics, carnival, school plays, involved parents, scouts, and sports. Saint Stephen can be summed up in one moment- in the middle of recess when the Church bells ring all 300+ students stop, stand silent, and face the Church. Its truly amazing and heartwarming to witness. The teachers and parents are very involved and act as one big family. You will not be disappointed! Your child is worth the investment! Close Quote

Open Quote Last year, we transferred from public school to St Stephen when our daughter went into 2nd grade. Many people told us how hard it would be because kids at that age can be mean. I was told it would be too strict, that the parents in private school are "clicky", and the education at Catholic schools isn't as advanced as public schools.

We just started our second year at the school and I am happy to say we couldn't be happier! St Stephen isn't just a school, it's like an extended family. We were overwhelmed by how friendly everyone was to all of us. In one year, we have made so many friends, been involved with great school activities, and she has had a lot of fun! All of the staff at the school are warm, caring, and well educated. Most importantly, she has soared academically.

The school is thriving and very well run. They have a brand new Pre-K building, we are getting air conditioning, and they have many updated resources. They offer after school care and many clubs such as Drama and Art. They also have a Band and Chorus. They offer many sports such as soccer, cross country, lacrosse, volleyball, and many more. Throughout the year, they also do a lot of charitable work.

If you are looking for a school from Pre-K 3 to 8th grade that offers a top notch education, extra curricular activities, a safe environment, and wonderful families with great values then St Stephen is the school for you! Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
