Open Quote Saint Ambrose Elementary School has consistently been a solid, excellent school. The school has a 100% graduation rate of students in the 8th grade who go on to attend high school. Students earn scholarships to attend some of the best high schools in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Principal, teachers, and parents jointly work together to provide a well-balanced program of academics, music, art, and fun activities for the students. Students who have graduated from Saint Ambrose come back to volunteer and share their new high school experiences with the 7th and 8th grade students who currently attend. This is one way to determine if a school is a good place to be -- when students return to volunteer at a school where they have spent a large portion of their time from kindergarten to 8th grade. Saint Ambrose Elementary School is a great place to be! Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
