Open Quote My daughter is in her second year at the Blue Hills Montessori school and we could not be happier with her overall progress and the school itself. The staff at BHMS are outstanding. Both lead teachers in the Pre K / Kindergarten programs are long tenured at the school. Which was important to me and my husband when making the decision on where to send out daughter. We wanted to gain the full early Montessori experience and have her attend the Pre K program as well as her Kindergarten year at the school, it was important for us to know that the staff has remained consistent with little turnover as we wanted her to be in a stable learning environment for those years. The connections that the teachers make with the children is wonderful. Our daughter looks forward to school each day and is excited to see what types of lessons / work she will have available to explore. In addition to the regular Pre K / Kindergarten programs, BHMS also offers early morning and after school programs. The enrichment program is a wonderful opportunity for the children to stay a bit later at school and work on different types of learning materials outside the classroom. Our daughter loves the enrichment program and looks forward to her weekly Yoga class that takes place during Enrichment. The children also do baking, which incorporates math skills, they work on art and crafts and many more learning activities to keep them engaged and interested. If you are considering Montessori for your child, I highly encourage you to check out BHMS. You will not be disappointed! Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
