Open Quote I have a one current student and one graduate of Waldorf School of New Orleans. You might be wondering how Waldorf Education translates to to a mainstream school. Good news: Waldorf works! My Waldorf graduate currently attends a rigorous high school that is ranked top in the nation and is doing very well there. This school requires testing for admittance, and my child's scores ranked in the top 98-99 percentile in every category. To me this success story answers any questions about whether Waldorf students get the education they need to transition to a more mainstream environment in high school or college.

Having been a part of the school community for the last 12 years, I can attest to how much it has grown. But one thing has always remained the same, and that is the thoughtful and well rounded approach of the Waldorf philosophy itself. The main lessons are taught in a way that is fun and shows their real-world application. The focus on service helps children see themselves as a contributing part of the world around them. And the integration of the arts ensures that both sides of the brain are engaged. If you're looking for education that is more tailored and thoughtful than is typically found in schools, I encourage you to take a tour. You won't be sorry. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
