As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My special needs (small) 9 year old was physically restrained by 3 adults for four minutes today and we were not informed until the end of the school day. The teacher contacted my husband by phone and said our son was kicking a desk then the teacher, he offered to come pick him up and the teacher told him no bc that would reward the behavior. According to the form they sent home with him that day, our son had two adults pinning him to the ground for 4 minutes less than 10 minutes after the phone call when we were told not to get him. We were never advised that they were allowed to do this to him, or that you're required to send a note from their physician if they should not be restrained due to psychological or medical reasons. He's been in school and therapy since he was three and never had to be physically restrained at any point. The principal was involved in restraining him as well as an adult male that we've never met. If you have any other options than Boullion, avoid this school! Our child thrived at Oak Grove, we only switched due to rezoning and have met several other parents that are in the process of moving to get back into the Oak Grove system. And to be fair, his other teachers are fantastic and have all said they don't have behavior issues with him. He's never been written up by other teachers until this one, and definitely never had to be physically restrained Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
