Open Quote I have two boys attending school here, one in the primary classroom (pre-schoool) and the other just started in the elementary room. I am consistently amazed at how much my children have learned since starting in a Montessori classroom. Just the other day, my 3 year old explained to me what an odd number was and then proceeded to give me several examples of odd numbers. My first grader is reading and can multiply and divide without much effort. The tools in the classroom and the focus on academic mastery create an incredible learning environment! Close Quote

Open Quote A phenomenal school! After attending public school for years, we enrolled our daughter in Montessori Academy of Batavia during her 4th-grade year. The educational and personal growth she has achieved has enriched her life by leaps and bounds. The beautiful six-acre campus, serene environments, and wealth of knowledge and patience displayed by the staff makes for a wonderful academic learning environment. Our only regret is that we didn't enroll her sooner. Close Quote

Open Quote Montessori Academy is a wonderful school. We''re thoroughly happy our child is a student there. Their campus is beautiful and allows for daily interaction with nature and space to play outside. There are even organic gardens that the children tend! A magical place. We feel that our child is nurtured in all aspects of living - physically, intellectually, spiritually, socially - at Montessori Academy. The staff are caring and accessible. The enrichment programs offered at MA are varied and interesting. We love it there. Close Quote

Open Quote From the moment I first walked into the classroom and saw the children quietly and constructively working I was awestruck. I fell in love with the whole atmosphere and philosophy. In the spring they even hatch eggs of butterflies, preying mantis's and chickens. The staff is kind, respectful to the children and the parents. It is a place of real organic learning where children prosper. We are so fortunate to have this school in our community. Close Quote

Open Quote This is our child's first year at the Montessori Academy in Batavia. We have seen evidence of the Montessori method being applied by our child at home. Our child's teachers as well as the school administration work very hard to keep parents informed of the activities (of which there are many) occurring at school. To date, my wife and I are pleased with the school, and we are attempting to bring some of the Montessori teaching techniques into our home as well. Close Quote

Open Quote Montessori Academy is a great school! My son is 4 and this is his second year. I plan on keeping him there all the way through 8th grade. The school has a beautiful campus set on 6 wooded acres. The school offers all different extras that are wonderful, like violin lessons for age 3 and up. They also have French, Spanish, yoga, and chess. The teachers are just awesome there. It is like a family. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
