Open Quote Our daughter has been at St. Francis for 11 years, starting In Kindergarten. The curriculum, the support, communication, structure and athletics combine to make a great foundation for college and the real world. Close Quote

Open Quote We were only considering this school. We are not any longer. It seemed strange that their site does not list their Board, their faculty. Something is very "off" here and I don't need
to know more. Their tuition is roughly half of the other schools we are considering. It will be worth it. Close Quote

Open Quote PLEASE PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION TO THIS REVIEW. We waited until after the school year was over to write this review because we feared that St. Francis would retaliate against our child. This school does not acknowledge bullying nor is it willing to work with you. The headmaster did not even respond to our several emails regarding our child being bullied and the elementary principal simply would not answer questions and avoided us completely. What they did do was start making our child look like they were the problem. On one occasion they even called him into the principal's office on bogus charges so as to document him as the problem. They also tried to not offer us a contract to return next year. Their way of dealing with parents who ask tough questions. They of course had no grounds to NOT offer us a contract so, they finally did. We have no desire to go back to St. Francis. RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL. They have no governing board so the headmaster has no one to answer to. They simply do whatever they want and if you don’t like it you can leave. We were practically showed the door. They have bullying and it's not just the students doing it..the administration is guilty too! Close Quote

Open Quote Please, for the sake of your child, do NOT send your student to this school. For the amount of tuition parents pay, there is little to no evidence of this in the school. The textbooks are outdated, technology is non-existant and the media center is a sad sight. Makes you wonder where all that money goes...?

Students are not encouraged to succeed on their own, but instead everything is hand-fed to them. If teachers don't give students the answers prior to the test to study from, they are chastised. Students are grade levels behind what they should be in a public school, and it's not fair to the students. Parents are happy their students are getting good grades, but it's only because everything is handed to them, and they get to try over and over again until they get it right. A poor example of education, no student should be subjected to this. It does them a disservice when they have to go to college and work in the real world. Close Quote

Open Quote My daughter went to St Francis for the first time last year. St. Francis is everything and more in which the school stated and publicized upon our initial visit during the orientation process. My daughter struggled at her previous school. St. Francis has given her such confidence in her studies and has helped her become more organized in her ability to prepare for classes. She is excelling in her studies. The size of class (small) and the curriculum is a recipe for success. I highly recommend St Francis. They understand how to administer and deliver quality education. Close Quote

Open Quote My daughter is new to St. Francis this year. She is in the elementary school. My husband and I have been extremely happy with the quality of education she is receiving - not only with academics, but also with the arts (music, drama and art classes). She loves to go to school everyday! The teachers and administrators are supportive and caring. The small class size is wonderful. I was told by other parents, when we were researching St. Francis, that is was a terrific school that not only taught children, but helped to build their self-confidence. My husband and I truly believe this is true for our daughter's experience as well. Close Quote

Open Quote The worst experience for both of my children. The school is very punitive! It does not encourage students to move forward or be creative in any way. They want all children, no matter what their abilities are, to stay at the same level. Boring and old fashioned curriculum. The administrators care only about the reputation of the school and little for the individual student. If you are looking for a school that has a repetitive curriculum and is overly structured this is the school for you. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
