You might be saying WHAT? I am here to tell you that this program WORKS! My children, as a result of the education that have received from this school, are far more advanced and well-rounded than their peers. The multi-sensory learning approach that this school offers makes learning not only fun, but the retention of the information is amazing. They do not put a ceiling on the learning capabilities of the students, but instead challenge them on a daily basis. Not only do they learn the "basics", they also learn about community, responsibility, interpersonal communication, charity, and independence. This school produces intelligent, well-balanced, mindful and cultured young people. It is WORTH taking a look at for your child. Close Quote

Open Quote We can't say enough about RMA! Our oldest child has attended the school for four years (2 in the primary classroom and two in the lower elementary program). Our second child has attended for three years (all in the primary classroom). My children are thrilled to wake up in the mornings to go to school and delighted to talk about their day when they return home. The Montessori Method allows each child to work at his or her individual level, and my children are never bored! My second son (pre-K age) comes home raving about his work reading a beginner book (all by himself!) or working with the “thousand chain,” a long chain of beads designed to help the child visualize and count large numbers. Just this week, my oldest son (second grade age) completed a full research project on the giant squid (his choice, and completed in conjunction with several classmates). This project represented four weeks of in-depth work including reading about the squid, writing a paper, completing a painting, and even learning the anatomy of the animal. The project culminated in a dissection of a squid specimen. Afterwards, the children who participated in the research cooked calamari for the class (their idea!). Next, he is planning to research snakes with a fellow classmate (again, his choice). Where else would my children be able to do things like this? Moreover, this academic work is accomplished in a peaceful, nurturing environment that addresses the whole person. We love this school! Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
